The Greater Ventura County Newcomer & Community Resource Guide is the publication in which potential newcomers and businesses interested in Ventura County can learn about its communities. According to the information provided to us for this issue, it is current. Chapters include history of the Ventura County, visiting and playing in the community and surrounding regions, relocating to the area, buying or renting a home, finding a job, and caring for your family. In addition, a special chapter highlights the Navy in Ventura County. Other sections include information on schools, places of worship, clubs and organizations, a calendar of events, and frequently called telephone numbers.

The Greater Ventura County Newcomer & Community Resource Guide describes programs and services available to citizens of Ventura County and their guests. It also serves as an access guide for families and businesses who wish to move to a community with clean air, open spaces, affordable housing, good jobs, a business-friendly environment, low crime rate, and many events and activities throughout the year.
